“Language is human speech, either spoken or written.”
* * * * *
Language is also the most common system of communication since it allows people to talk to each other and to write their thoughts and ideas. Oral and written are 2 ways of representing language. Oral tradition was commonly used before because papers and pens were not yet created. By using oral tradition, they can communicate with each other. People before were accustomed to the use of oral tradition when it comes to learning because this was the only way for them to pass on their knowledge. A young child can only use this tradition if an instructor would coach them. They will be able to imitate the sounds, words and sentences. However, as years and centuries passed, written tradition was then introduced to the people. This tradition gives people a much more formal education since written tradition can also act as a record. Written tradition exists only as a complement to oral tradition. Written tradition is a formal way of communicating with other people. In contrary, oral tradition is less formal and by using oral tradition, you will be able to talk to a person directly and in a casual way.

In summary, as time passes by, the way of our communication keeps on upgrading becuase before, we only have oral and written communication, but now we have multimedia as well. There we can keep our thoughs not only by words but with corresponding audio and video so that our idea can be understood better and clearer.
I agree with what you said that "Written tradition exists only as a complement to oral tradition.". Most of us would definitely like to express ourselves orally to add emotion to our message but at the same time we would also like as i said in my blog immortalize what we have written.
