Children and cyberspace. hmm.

I know someone who loves to...
* use the internet
* play online games
* watch videos on you tube
* play psp all day long during.

He is only 6 years old and he's my nephew, Pavel. He probably knows more sites, more games, more everything online. It takes a while when you try to get his attention when there’s a computer near him.

Haaay. What cyberspace can do to kids talaga. Children would prefer cyberspace than to use books for researching or doing their homework. But for the children today, parang tinuturuan sila maging tamad ng cyberspace kasi with just a click away, lahat ng kailangan nila, nasa harap na nila.

If you were given a choice to either make use of books or to use the internet for research which one would you choose?

I guess it's no puzzle that more would prefer the latter. :)

Humans constantly seek faster ways of doing things. Maybe it's not that kids are becoming lazy. Maybe there's just not much things to do after they find what they're looking for since they already have all the information they need on their monitors. Unlike books na hati hati ang information. You need more effort just to get the same amount of info. :p

I scuffled trough high school by using the internet for researches and performing up a lot of "copy-paste" things. I agree that books for me seems more credible to that of the internet anyway it is the same written metter except that they have different apparatusses for inferring information.Not everything online is credible and can be considered true so I use the printed things.
