which is sharper the pen or the tongue?

In the olden times people relied on their relationship with certain people to ensure that their messages get to the reciever with no changes on the message. Of course we all know we cannot rely on other people to send our messages. And so writing became a more popular way of sending messages. And until now writing things down on paper is ised it immortalizes your message and your work to ensure that your message may be read and interpreted the way that you wanted it to.

Now, people seem to be bored with reading and more and more people turn to more visual things to excite the mind without having to sacrifice the message. Media now takes advantage of technology and the laziness of people to read.

Personally, I would really enjoy a more visual and vocal kind of communication. It really does entice a person to listen and really understand what the person is trying to say.

written vs. oral

oral culture is the way for people to pass on knowledge, history, literature and other things without the use of a writing system. for culture it is a way to transmit culture through the voicing out of information. oral culture is very common everywhere for back in the day, especially when human beings were just starting to evolve and writing hasn't even been discovered or used a lot. people just rely on information about their cultures based on stories coming from our ancestors.

as for written culture, it is information about our culture that is written down. it is more believable compared to oral writing because this is actually written down and can be seen. it is more formal. especially if people are trying to prove something it is a lot easier to prove that something is true when it is written rather than stories of other people. written is more believable because stories can change especially how the story is told. whoever it is that is telling the story can twist the story or make it longer than it normally is.
