which is sharper the pen or the tongue?

In the olden times people relied on their relationship with certain people to ensure that their messages get to the reciever with no changes on the message. Of course we all know we cannot rely on other people to send our messages. And so writing became a more popular way of sending messages. And until now writing things down on paper is ised it immortalizes your message and your work to ensure that your message may be read and interpreted the way that you wanted it to.

Now, people seem to be bored with reading and more and more people turn to more visual things to excite the mind without having to sacrifice the message. Media now takes advantage of technology and the laziness of people to read.

Personally, I would really enjoy a more visual and vocal kind of communication. It really does entice a person to listen and really understand what the person is trying to say.

i think the pen is sharper than the toungue because if you stab me with a pen I can bleed but if you stab me with a tongue I will just get slimey.

so yes I do now realize that people may have their own interpretations when some people give their messages by speaking or having some things written down. Yes, it is a fact that people no adays are always looking forwards for some interactive, interesting way of learning and not like the old fashioned way of reading that some people do find it boring.

So I conclude that the pen may have it's advantage over the tongue...

Truly, the best means to communicate and impart information that creates impact is to maximize the use of all our senses.
Hence the popularity of more sensous media.

Yup yup! But for me, having to live during a time when mass media and telecommunications define the way how everything are synchronized. things brought by mass media are just way better compared to that of before. On the other hand, earlier types of,literature has its own contributes of unique welfare for communication. we just have to utilize every methond in a way that can benefit everyone.

i agree. i think we should use the high technology that we have right now. it's easier to understand and there will be less misunderstandings. kahit nga sa cellphone lang din eh...mas madali maintindihan pag kausap mo through a call compared sa text or sulat.:)
