Oral or Written?

We have learned in the class that the oral communication is the way of recording history. Like for instance, the traditional or the very old stories from our ancestors were passed on to the next generations through story telling. It must be hard for people today to remember stuff through story telling. There is a possibility that these stories could be irrelevant. On the other hand, oral communication is the best way of communicating with others.

Today, written communication is the world wide used in recording something important. Just what i have said before, information passed on orally could not be the exact information from the source. Whereas if the information is written by the source, then the information is somewhat like 100% true.

In my opinion, if the information i want others to know is something special or emotional or personal I would definitely speak it out. I remember having friends living overseas and we can not comunicate orally all the time. We phone each other to hear what we have to say during special occasions. But i guess written communication is okay.
